Why Chemical Peels?
Available now at Longevity Aesthetics and Laser Spa in Oklahoma City, our luxurious chemical peels address a variety of skin concerns. This quick and convenient procedure tightens, brightens, improves skin texture, softens acne scars, and much more.
Each peal involves the use of a safe yet potent chemical solution designed to rapidly erode the top layer of skin, thus erasing years of dermal wear-and-tear while enhancing the skin underneath. This process is followed by a soothing moisturizing treatment for your comfort and recovery.
To better address your skin’s unique needs, we offer our chemical peels in three standard levels of potency:
Designer Peel with Light Exfoliation (Stratum Corneum)
Designed to show immediate improvement. This peel results in revitalized, younger-looking skin, as well as a more radiant complexion.
Designer Peel with Medium Exfoliation (Stratum Granulosum)
Designed to show immediate change, though best results take about three days to become apparent. Designer Peel with Medium Exfoliation (Stratum Granulosum)
Designed to show immediate change, though best results take about three days to become apparent. This skin renewal process may cause your skin to shed its dead outer layer, resulting in more dramatic results and long-term rejuvenation.
Superficial Designer Peel (Basal Layer)
Designed to provide complete epidermal rejuvenation within one seven-day cycle. Your body spends much of this process breaking down and removing damaged and weathered cells from the epidermis. This triggers the stimulation and migration of new skin cells and ultimately results in newer, healthier skin.
Our average price for a standard chemical peel is $145. (Longevity’s Members only pay $110.)
Depending on the peel level you choose, your procedure will last anywhere between 30 minutes and 90 minutes, with the deepest peels lasting the longest.
Each peel involves the use of a safe yet potent chemical solution designed to rapidly erode the top layer of skin, thus erasing years of dermal wear-and-tear while enhancing the skin underneath. This process is followed by a soothing moisturization treatment for your comfort and recovery.
Recovery Time & Side Effects
Lighter chemical peels can take up to seven days to fully heal, though most of the subsequent redness and swelling from your treatment will subside after just two to three days. Peeling typically begins to occur after 36-48 hours.
Because medium and deep facial peels reach further into the skin for more dramatic results, side effects like swelling and irritation are more common and a bit more severe. These peels call for around 10 days of downtime as the skin rebuilds itself on a cellular level. It is safe to conceal any remaining redness with makeup after this two week period.
We recommend applying ice or air from a fan to the treated area in order to relieve discomfort during your recovery period. Over-the-counter pain relievers such as Aleve and Ibuprofen may also do the trick.
